What exactly are permanent cosmetics?

Permanent Cosmetics (also known as Permanent Make-up, Semi Permanent Make-up, Micro pigmentation and Cosmetic Tattooing) allow women of all ages, and a growing number of men, to enhance and define their natural features, creating a beautiful finish which will compliment or even replace the use of conventional make-up.

Permanent make-up is a form of cosmetic tattooing which uses pharmaceutical grade pigments applied to the second, or dermal, layer of the skin ensuring a wonderful shadow of colour which looks exactly like perfectly applied make-up. Unlike conventional make-up however, top up treatments are only required every 12-18 months to keep your make-up looking freshly applied!

Eyebrow enhancement is an ideal treatment for those who have thinning, patchy or over plucked eyebrows and are particularly beneficial for alopecia or chemotherapy patients. Choose either soft powder effect brows or the latest 3D hair stroke brows to achieve the look you require.

Eyeliner enhancements define your lashes, creating the illusion of thickness, while emphasising the colour and beauty of your eyes.

Lip enhancement is a fabulous treatment whether you wish to simply emphasise your lips with a soft contour and blush, restore colour and shape lost through the ageing process or create a more dramatic look.  Permanent Cosmetics are also used for paramedical procedures such as areola and nipple reconstruction, scar reduction and those affected by vitiligo.

Based mainly in Edinburgh, I work with patients from all over Scotland and the north of England, and I am happy to advise on any of the above procedures.
